EVERYTHING IS TEMPORARY, 2014 (A PROJECT FILM ABOUT THE SERIES TROUW INVITES…)
In collaboration with TrouwAmsterdam
‘For the series Trouw Invites…, film and documentary maker Mirla Klijn was invited to make a series of documentaries about the three participating artists and their projects in the basement space of Trouw. For this project, she engaged with Fouad Bouchoucha at an early stage, and followed him for a day in the process of developing Landscape (2014). Klijn interviewed Bouchoucha in his apartment, asking about his artistic practice and what it means to him to work in an environment that is outside of the usual realm of contemporary art. In an intriguing monologue Bouchoucha elaborates on the notions of transiency and temporality as the key themes of this project. The documentary is both a testimony of the groundbreaking work that is done here, and a document of Bouchoucha’s personal and conceptual interpretation of the project as a whole.’ (Hendrik Folkerts, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam)
